Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT),Jaipur was established in 1963 and is known as the Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. In 2002, the university was given the status of National Institute of Technology, and in 2007, as an Institute of National Importance through the Act of Parliament. The university is fully funded by the Government of India and the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya). MNIT Jaipur ranked 37th in the engineering category and 72nd in the overall category in the NIRF 2021 rankings. They have been admitting students for various courses offered in the varsity.
