The admission process 2021 for UG and PG programmes is open. Gandhi Engineering College, also known as GEC, was established in 2006. It is located in Bhubaneswar and is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology. The Institute is accredited by the NAAC as an 'A' Grade institution and is AICTE-approved. The campus of the Institute spreads over a land of 25 acre. It houses a number of activity centres, academic buildings, hostels, a central library, an auditorium, an amphitheatre, playing grounds and much more. It also has branch-specific labs, seven computing centres, a 400-seater auditorium, a 74-seater cineplex-cum-auditorium, four seminar halls, two conference rooms, an R&D cell, seven GD and campus interview rooms besides other common facilities. The Knowledge Centre of the Institute is as large as 9,000 sqft. The total capacity of GEC hostels is 1,100 students. Additionally, the campus also has a gym, a music club, a Yoga centre and sporting complexes for various sports. 

At present, Gandhi Engineering College has six departments, including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer and Electronics Engineering, Computer and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. It offers more than 15 courses in the streams of Engineering, Management and IT at UG as well as PG level.
