About Nextep Story
Brian Fayak founded Nextep with little more than a dream and the passion that only a true entrepreneur possesses. In the summer of 1996 Fayak migrated from the world of a publicly-traded company to a world where he was the operations team, the sales team, and the owner. In 1997, he moved into the bottom of a large corporate office building with a new business and a dream of taking a new approach to Professional Employer Organizations (PEO). His business, Nextep, quickly outgrew the small office he was renting and moved on. Since those humble beginnings Nextep has grown to be one of the premier professional employer organizations in the industry, with clients across the country. Fayak, and Nextep, have returned to the office building where everything began, this time as the owners. This three story, 35,000 square foot corporate office facility is home to Nextep’s Corporate Headquarters and National Technology Center. Nextep’s growth and impact on our clients are a source of pride for Fayak and the Nextep team. “Evolving from an idealistic startup to a successful business was a long and sometimes difficult road,” says Fayak. “Since our beginning as a small company, Nextep has grown to be a premier Professional Employer Organization, holding the industry’s most respected accreditations.” Today Nextep continually performs above industry averages in client retention, and still maintains the entrepreneurial spirit that drove our company from the start.
