Established in the year 2016, Indian Institute of Technology Jammu is a public university. In 2018, the varsity shifted to its main campus in Paloura, Jammu. It is also known as IIT Jammu. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognised the university as an “Institute of National Importance.” The campus of the university is spread over an area of 400 acres and it has 73 faculty members in total. As per the official website of IIT Jammu, its mission is to prepare industry-ready students who make the industry ready for current and future technological excellence.
